College Scholarship Info The SAF Merit Scholarship (SMS) provided you with world-class education and exposes you to training that will develop your operational expertise and technical know-how relevant to the organization. You will be trained to meet the challenges of the new security environment, to become the leader of leaders to lead and guide your people to fulfill that mission.

There are 4 schemes available:
SMS (Women) - Since its inception in 1993, the SAF Merit Scholarship for Women is offered exclusively to a selected group of women with academic excellence and dynamic leadership qualities.

SMS (Combat) - You will study at renowned universities abroad or military academies such as the United States Military Academy at West Point, U.S. Air Force Academy, U.S. Naval Academy and the Australian Defence Force Academy, to name a few.College Scholarship Info After completing your studies, you will serve in the SAF as a combat officer.

SMS (Psychology) - you will pursue your degree in psychology at renowned universities abroad. Once again, you will serve in the SAF as a combat officer and psychologist.

College Scholarship Info Eligibility Criteria
* Singapore citizens or permanent residents intending to take the citizenship
* GCE 'A' Level (with minimum of 11 academic units), International Baccalaureate, Polytechnic Diploma (with Merit) or equivalent
* Co-curricular activities Good (CCA) record
* The quality of strong leadership
* Qualify for and excel in Officer Cadet School
* Have a strong interest in military careers
